What this app does

You share links to public social posts with this app. We fetch the public content of those posts — captions, audio, and video frames — and extract the useful parts (prompts, tools, recipes, products, places, and notes) into a searchable in-app archive.

What we collect

The links you share, the public content of those posts, the records extracted from them, the email address you sign in with, basic processing metadata (timestamps, processing costs), and first-party usage signals described below. We do not collect your contacts, location, or anything from other apps.

AI processing

The content of posts you save is sent to Anthropic (the maker of Claude) for automated extraction. Anthropic processes this content to return structured records and does not use it to train models without permission.

The audio from a saved post is sent to Groq or Fireworks AI, which run a speech-to-text model to produce the transcript you can read in the app. They receive only that audio — longer recordings, such as podcast episodes, go to Fireworks AI.

No other third-party AI provider receives your content.

Usage data

To learn whether the product actually works, the app records first-party usage signals on Floyd's own server: which screens, saves, and records you open and when, which links you tap, and actions like correcting a topic or building a shopping list. These are identifiers and timestamps only — never the text of your searches or the content of what you view. There is no third-party analytics SDK, no advertising identifier, and this data is never shared or sold. It is deleted with your account.

Storage

Your records are stored on Floyd's server. Every record keeps a link to the original post so you can always check the source.

During the beta

While Floyd is in beta testing, saves may be reviewed to improve how Floyd reads posts — what a post produced, and where it got that wrong. This is how the extraction is corrected. It ends when the beta does, and it is the only case in which anyone but you sees what is in your archive.

Grocery hand-off

If you tap Shop with Instacart on a shopping list, the ingredient lines on that list are sent to Instacart to build a cart page you review there. Nothing is sent unless you tap, items you mark as already on hand are not included, and no other information about you or your archive goes with it.

If you tap Send to Reminders, the list is written into a Reminders list on your own device named “Floyd — groceries”. Floyd asks for Reminders access the first time, writes only to that list, and reads nothing from your other lists. Nothing about it leaves your device.

Deletion

Settings → Delete account & data permanently removes every save, record, usage event, and processing trace from the backend, and clears this device's local queue. There is nothing to email us about — the button does it all.

Creators

Extracted records always retain attribution and a working link to the original creator's post. When you share a record, that attribution and link go with it. Your archive is private; nothing is published.
